Cloudy
clear

Went out on the beach west of the Administration Bldg. Tide was low at 11 AM, and I was able to get a number of pictures of the surf breaking at the reef. It was quite spectacular. I picked up a number of small shells also. All but the small cowries are covered with a scale, usually gray. Hope I can get them clean. Stayed out from 0830 & 1230, and my legs below the shorts got sunburned as the Skol quickly washed off.

Stayed on the reef at low tide rather than going in to church. I forgot that I wore khaki pants when I went shelling on Eniwetok in 1948! My legs are really on fire!
