Had a new radiator put in @ $46.50; the engine is finally cool enough; the one put in has larger tubes & transfers more heat than the Ford part for the same mass flow.
AMS checked the charging rate on the adj voltage regulator; it is 25 amps at low & about 40 amps at the hi rate. The clutch adjusting lock nut was finger tight, so the throw was out at 1″, making the clutch operate much smoother. They also said the carb has dirt in it, causing the low vacuum. Picked up the 2nd brake drum, a Jeep PL, and an oil filter at Lincoln Auto. After getting the proper kits, I put them in the two right wheel cylinders, put the brake linings on and the wheels.
