Wildness is the state of being wild. But being wild is not for humans who seek instead to dominate and control the landscape around them. It is difficult for humans not to intervene in one form or another, sometimes simply through the ubiquitous infrastructure that makes its way across much of the globe. Or simply by walking across the land. Crushing the plants and lichens and mosses. Someday, perhaps the globe will become no man's land and these traces will slowly fade back into land that is not his.
