i say:
what sight of rainbow gives full and transitory is not the will to wake up the next morning, it's just late afternoon, well before sunset. lightning strikes the house. the radio quits. do the dead feel the hissing crack of close lightning like the living do? a bit of dread, a bit of shaken body wonder?

travelog ambient sound index
sound energy arriving at the body: here's some indirect access to the growing catalog of ambient sound samples (mp3 files) collected as neoscenes moves through time and space and other continua. it is a retro-auralative process: there is never contemporaneous time to live and to document life in the same moment. so, re-creation is left for interstitial moments when in-your-face living can be disrupted, run away from, or otherwise pressed back from the insistent span of consequent sensual input.

they say:
The nomad is not necessarily somebody who moves: there are travels in which one does not move, travels in intensity, and even from a historical point of view, nomads are not those who move like migrants, on the contrary, they are those who do not move, and who start nomadizing in order to stay in the same place and free themselves from codes.
-- Gilles Deleuze
