Guess? website: a review by Ru-Shuen Doris Chen

It is well known that Guess? holds a prominent position in the fashion industry and this can immediately be inferred from its arresting website at http://www.guess.com. True to its advertising nature, the website is well-organized and filled with eye-catching images. Upon entering the website, you are greeted with mesmerizing colors and it just takes a simple click of the mouse to get the information required. The layout is comprehensive with information on products, history, etc. There is even a image gallery filled with the latest fashions but as there were too many images -- it takes quite a while to download them.

The site clearly indicates the information that consumer needed. One can easily locate their stores by clicking on STORES which will lead you to a search machine that will give you the address of their store of nearest proximity to your location. There is also a VIP lounge whereby upon having membership, you are now a member of the most exclusive club on the web, or so they claimed. The most convenient feature of the website is that all the pages have the same links PRODUCT, SHOOTS, HISTORY, STORES, FEEDBACK and thus one can easily move around the website without having to go backwards or forwards to a certain title page. Once you are done with the website, one may give some constructive suggestions via FEEDBACK. The only drawback with the website is that it lacks the dimension of sound. Having MIDI, I feel, would certainly enhance the appeal of the website.
