jaceee: I am here

osea: well I'm glad you got some sleep last night.
jaceee: well, some
jaceee: but I must say, i am energized
osea: so how wa sth eIrish finnish band?
jaceee: these days
jaceee: great -- one of my students is the fiddler
jaceee: and composer
jaceee: always a crazy scene in Finnish bars, too
jaceee: and lots of people I know there anyway,
jaceee: the sauna before with the few remainig hard-core students from my class
jaceee: and one of them procuring a nice spliff to do up
jaceee: as we stand around in the cool airs
jaceee: stories move onward
osea: i knew u were the spliffin' type!
jaceee: well, yeah. I have visited Nine Mile
jaceee: in the Blue Mountains
osea: ah yes, i've been known to partake of the mindbenderz myself
jaceee: of Jamaica
jaceee: where Mr. Marley rests
osea: never been to Jamaica tho
jaceee: and strolled the Sensi fields there
osea: mais oiu! you R the tech NOMAD artist, after all!
jaceee: Jah Rastafari Makonen, King of Kings
jaceee: Lord of Lords
jaceee: Conquoring Lion of the Tribe of Judah
osea: haleluya
jaceee: Jah Rastafari!
jaceee: Yeah, so, those are languages that travel the world, and burning a joint with an Other is a
jaceee: strong ritual anywhere
osea: i & i
jaceee: yeah, the i&i is a reflective concept that relates to what we are doing
osea: jah. mon
jaceee: that the self is within the eye of God
jaceee: and is God with all things
jaceee: and all others
jaceee: Saturday morning chat, for you
osea: does i & i mean eye in I?
*** PING delay for osea: 1 seconds
*** PING delay for osea: 0 seconds
*** PING delay for osea: 0 seconds
jaceee: well, I have not studied that for some years, but I recall Alton Ellis talking about it
jaceee: on the Reggae Beat program in Santa Monica public radio
jaceee: I think that is not exactly the concept, but it dances around it...
osea: Hmmm, I have a friend who would know -- I think I'll just ask him.
jaceee: something about naming the self above God (when using me or I alone)
jaceee: or leaving the Spirit out
jaceee: little hazy, but the saying of I&I itself is a strong mantra
osea: as our daughter's deep hood rap pounds the beat into us all here,
jaceee: to enter ones language
jaceee: on Saturday mornin, no less
jaceee: family
jaceee: just from a graduation party, too
jaceee: family event
osea: dave points out that the latest kidz&gunz stuff has been white kidz in the burbs not black kidz in the hood.
jaceee: well, the crisis is everywhere with the young, but maybe the war burned itself out in the hoods, too many killed, and now the emptiness of the burbs begins to explode
osea: yes, and the innercity can begin a rebirth
jaceee: as a community
osea: as the burbs begin to crumble
osea: a strange reversal
jaceee: why not?
jaceee: there was always more community there to begin with
osea: i see so many signs of a better innercity. and lots of signs of the burbs changeing for the worse
jaceee: burbs were about/are about aliennation (sp!) and isolation
jaceee: driving into auto-opening garages from hermetic cars in to hermetic houses
osea: yes, & ppl want connectivity -- that's why we commute to the cities!
jaceee: well, cyber can crack that open
osea: to dine with hermetic families telling hermetic stories
jaceee: and can MOVE community faster that the Powers can seek to destroy it with monetary policy, police state, and lies
osea: yes, i was @ a panel discussion that tried to guess at cyber cities.
jaceee: hermetic stories that are fed in at those teevee dinners
jaceee: any conclusions?
jaceee: or revelations?
osea: no conclusions. But very interesting anyway.
osea: revelations? Well for me yes.
osea: the importantance of existing in both fleshspace and cyberspace
jaceee: you know, Carmin, you are so with it, that you can switch to any field and move through it like a hot knife through butter, know what I mean?
jaceee: go for it!
osea: and how the cyber experience is really both
jaceee: you already know the fundamentals so deeply that there is nothing left to do but speak and act!
osea: well, john I'm schizophrenic. That really keeps me ready to switch trax quickly...
jaceee: that maybe explains how fast you are moving re: this shift you have made in the last 18 months or so
jaceee: whatever you want to call it ;)
jaceee: that's only a name
jaceee: from mo-dern western doodah
jaceee: I call it brilliance
osea: yes, I'm just beginning to see that too. our friend ricardo pointed out that i know these cyber thangs from within
osea: he's been trying to get me to talk & act for over a year now.
jaceee: well, even more than the cyber things, much more, much much more!
jaceee: but maybe for you cyber encompasses more than maybe what I understand
osea: but I'm only just getting the vocabulary to the point that I can think it thru in words rather than internal code.
jaceee: so that covers lots of things
jaceee: serious -- like CODE, you think in CODE?
osea: I was typing & just read your words,-- brilliance!? why thanx, sir!
jaceee: or is it "just" another language that you have learned and use
*** PING delay for osea: 1 seconds
jaceee: (yeah, you know, our log files are different, different phrase ordering... wierd)
osea: well I call it code, but it's a lanugage that is not words, and I can't explain it. It's just part of me.
jaceee: maybe you recall, maybe not, one of the Eight Dialogues (with Josephine Bosma) we discovered there was a 30 sec - 2 minute delay that worked itself into the conversation, and we totally went crazy coping
osea: I've never looked at any other logs, so i have no reference. please explain "different"
jaceee: well, code, it is an internal and external system that is internally consistent? (I am suggesting possibilities, I dunno)
osea: yes, that soundz good.
jaceee: well, the logs show up in different order, as the timing of your typing and my receiving and my vice versa are different, so, different text gets generated
jaceee: or ordering of texts
jaceee: or sequence, I guess that is the word
osea: Oh -- wow! so the dialogue can change!
jaceee: yeah
osea: I love that! One of my fav. thangs about chats is the way the text gets woven!
jaceee: actually we should do a comparison of this dialogue -- I'll send you my logfile, and you send me yours
osea: Like when several ppl have parallel conversations in the same space.
jaceee: yeah, it is a fabric
jaceee: yeah, in different languages
jaceee: and then with the msg command, there are subtexts that only two can see...
osea: so cool -- an electronic fabric of blended voices -- this is what will construct future cyberscapes.
--> osea like this
jaceee: have you read Towards SuperLanguage by Pierre Levy?
osea: yes, let's exchange logs.
osea: No, but I wiull if you think i should!
jaceee: its an interesting paper -- I heard him present it in 94 in helsinki at ISEA
osea: Have you read CyberCities? That was a book I learned about at the panel discussion.
jaceee: but was bored stiff cause he read it, but it has some interesting points, and I am more tuend to what he was saying
jaceee: that's with Gibson?
osea: Why do ppl READ to others?
jaceee: from MIT?
jaceee: well, reading is easier
jaceee: but kinda empty
osea: No, Christine Boyer, from Princeton.
jaceee: I have head her name
jaceee: heard, sorry
jaceee: unless you are Burroughs reading!
osea: She was so fuckin cool! She looks about 55 to 60 yrs old & the first thing she said was "I'm cyborg."
jaceee: so that hit you between the eyes!
jaceee: and the heart
osea: Hers was the best statement among the panelists.
jaceee: she have anything online for consuming?
osea: Oh yeah! I loved her right away.
jaceee: BTW, http://www.hnet.uci.edu/history/mposter/syllabi/readings/levy.html -- levy's paper
osea: She didn't mention any online stuff, but I asked her to please join the Infowar chat at ARS.
osea: NOt chat Discussion...
osea: She talked about info transfer & perception shifts & powewr, so she would be great in that ARS infowar discourse.
jaceee: welll, the infowar thing hasn't been too hot yet, I will discuss it when I am in Linz... with folks...
osea: OK -- I'll check out mr. levy's wordz.
jaceee: sounds like she practices, too, not just academic
osea: I think it may be to FUTURISTIC for the masses.
jaceee: or just too REAL
osea: YES! We do have to live in steady denial before we assimilate, don't we?
osea: How old are you?
osea: I guess late 30's
jaceee: me? uh, well, cranking to four-zero in a couple months
osea: BINGO! You have that 38 or so tone.
jaceee: or nellja-nulla as they say in Finnish
osea: I don't know how I know that -- more internal code processing tho...
jaceee: it's in the words?
jaceee: the Voice?
jaceee: the cynicis?
jaceee: cynicism, that is
osea: no, not that -- it's the topics, you're energy
jaceee: back to assimilation -- it is the interface design, and how folks use it
osea: your language.
jaceee: like, for protection or for projecting self and receiving the Other
jaceee: I think my language is a mess these days
osea: Yes,-- the techno power mongers have created such myth around technology that ppl are easile intimidated.
jaceee: accurate!
osea: So the myth weaves fear and devotion.
jaceee: that is key in your understanding and power, that you KNOW the TOOL, and THEY, THEM, can't fool you
osea: You got it!
jaceee: I like having spent some years in the Belly of the Beast (UNOCAL, Inc)
osea: And so it is that i am called gossamer goddess
jaceee: and nobody can fool me about Bidness! and the Machiavellian hubris and greedheads
osea: I spent so many years in the beast's belly, eyes, brain.
jaceee: go for it
jaceee: !
jaceee: I think the beast is about to collapse under its sheer tired weight
jaceee: what happens if there is a revolution?
osea: And I rode on the beast's tongue as s/he lied to the masses
osea: the major shift.
jaceee: yeah, good picture!
jaceee: I was definitely Belly -- finding OIL to feed it
jaceee: feeding on dead plants and animals
jaceee: buried
osea: once we reach the critical mass of bionics, the knowledge will be ingerent & no longer need explaination. THen the major shifts happen. then the major leaps move us into the new space.
jaceee: that is apo-kalupsis
jaceee: the removal of the bridal veil that thinly covers the eyes, for vision that is untrammeled and open to all things
osea: sort of, but apocalips carries a negative connotaion -- I'm not afraid-- I look forward to the shift.
osea: Yes -- open vision. we'll get ther sooner or later.
osea: BUt so many are threatened by thi sstuff.
jaceee: the personal merges with the collective, as time is erased -- apocalypse is an event outside of time, and simultaneous to all beings, yet absolutely personal and transcendent
jaceee: I am scared, myself, but empowered to at least start lookingwhen/where it comes from for me
osea: OK, so maybe I have a poor dfn of apocal.
jaceee: apo -- to remove
osea: Hey, why are you scared?
jaceee: kalupsis -- the bridal veil
jaceee: I prefer root etymologies and saying
jaceee: well, maybe not scared
osea: DAMN! you's a teacher ain't chu!
jaceee: but I was walking with Christa in Linz one day, and Tom, her boyfriend
osea: I like learning, thanx for the micro-lesson.
jaceee: and I got scared for a second, when I realized I had gotten unconscious for a span of minutes, and it that time, I could have passed on, and not been prepared (not to say I am constantly prepared, but I was jolted -- to BE HERE NOW)
jaceee: I learned that from one Doug Robinson, a writer, teaches at Ole Miss now
osea: Oh, you want to force yourself to STAY in the HERE.
jaceee: the here and now
jaceee: well, yes, it is a forcing, but maybe more a willing of the spirit in concert with the body
osea: OK, but I have a friend who is quite mystical -- a winkte (SP) man/woman spirit in Native American culture -- she sez not to fear such times, but rather appreciate them as contact from another realm.
osea: It came up when I told her I was medicating my daughter to prevent seizures.
jaceee: yeah, like they are visitation times of the ally (of Castenada) or simply folds in being where things overlay
jaceee: ooooh, that's serious
osea: Yep. You are blessed, so it it said, to have such exeriences.
jaceee: yeah, visitations
osea: well her seizures we not the wild bad kind. I'llexplain them in an email.
jaceee: you know, my absolute favorite museum in the world
jaceee: is in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was founded by the painter Jean Dubuffet
jaceee: Musee de l'Art brut
osea: the visitaions -- very interesting stuff -- you know I would get into it, since it's an altered perspective.
jaceee: all works created by 'certified' clinically insane
jaceee: ELECtrIC
osea: Soundz GREAT!
jaceee: revelatory
jaceee: apokalyptic
osea: I MUST go there!
jaceee: intense
jaceee: exhausting to visit, for sure
osea: I love Switzerland anyway.
jaceee: but if you go in July
jaceee: you can Lighten up at the Montreux Jazz Festival
jaceee: nearby
osea: Not a bad plan...
osea: Just need to save up the $$$$$
jaceee: yeah, well, I ain't never had much, and I have managed
osea: Hey John, dave sez being married to me is like sticking your finger in the 220 socket. How much of that electricity come across in a chat space?
jaceee: although, I have no house, no insurance, no kid (that lives with me) and
jaceee: ALOT
osea: Wow -- I feel pretty calm. Tho this has been the best of our chats, I think.
jaceee: Dave is a fortunate man, and a good one, too, as I see him reflected in you
osea: I can see the possiblity of reaching the goal of dialogus as revolution on june 10tyh.
jaceee: calm -- well who says energy and calmness are antithetical
jaceee: that is the most powerful forms of energy
jaceee: like Aikido
jaceee: circles of energy
osea: You have a gerat point there. I thought I have to be 'still' to stop the flow.
jaceee: stillness allows it to be directed powerfully
osea: But I geus I can learn to channel it, focus it in my stillness.
jaceee: and concentrated for those bursts of Power that affect people
osea: Yep, you're right.
osea: I know I can be JUST TOO MUCH for some ppl.
jaceee: Well, I consider the project a total success at this moment already
jaceee: no matter what happens in Linz/Budapest
jaceee: too much is never enough (my third motto)
osea: Really? but we have no audience.
jaceee: but we are building energies that, for example, are reflecting into (have and will next week) in to my teaching and interacting with others
osea: mottos-- in terms of hallucinogens -- when you think you've had too much, you need more.
jaceee: whew!
jaceee: turn it on!
osea: I have a friend who always sadi that & then feed us more...
jaceee: some people are packaged in such a way that their spiritual energy is too much for the package
jaceee: and it flows, explodes out
jaceee: I could say, (maybe) that there is no audience for me, only other ppl
osea: when i was in high school, some friends(?) threatend to cut me up into acid dose pieces & sell me as the best possible trip...
jaceee: oh, THAT's a good one! LOL!
osea: I convinced them that just licking me would be enough...
jaceee: You are cracking me up!
osea: good we all need to lol alot!
jaceee: nothing like laughing at a PowerBook
osea: when that's the only sound besides the keyclicks!
jaceee: yeah, right
osea: the sound of one person laughing -- something to experience in cyberspace.
osea: and you know somewhere on the planet others laugh along -- cool!!!
jaceee: we did a few projects online in my class, where the whole class was on a channel doing free word association
osea: soundz loks a great tapestry could evolve
osea: soundz *LIKE* a great...
jaceee: and one where we told a story "the Adventures of Prince and Dorothy in the Land of Red, Gold, and Green"
osea: cool.
jaceee: everybody was laughing and working and NOT talking
jaceee: funny
osea: that
osea: that's the scene I mena...
jaceee: I will send you the URL, the fiddler put te story online
osea: I'can;t type anymore!!!!!
jaceee: no prob
osea: well, yes these practice chats are great for building energy.
jaceee: well, hey, I do have to get my butt up to school to do some last minute things, and pack tonight and visit my new friend
osea: you've taught me much about preparing for such perfomances.
osea: And I have do some chores today too. so it's been great.
osea: whe do we meet again?
jaceee: well, it is all preparation for living and being, and you have always been ready anyway, cause, well
jaceee: let'see
jaceee: I think tomorrow will be too intense
jaceee: I catch the night train to Helsinki at 2000,
jaceee: then am in Helsinki on Monday for five hours
jaceee: and then fly to Hamburg in the afternoon, bus to Kiel, ariving in late evening... Tuesday a workshop starts, so maybe late onTuesday
jaceee: ?
osea: Oh, Tuesday AM I have to drive Leedah to Boston. SO I won;t be back here until after 9:00 AM my time.
jaceee: Tuesday, like when we met at midnight my time, and, what 5pm yours?
jaceee: what's your time now
jaceee: it is 6pm here
osea: MAybe wednesday, unless you want to do something in Tuesday later in the morning...
jaceee: and Kiel will be 5pm
osea: Here it is 11:AM\
jaceee: so we will have SIX hours difference on Tuesday
osea: So you are 7 hours diff.
jaceee: so, what about 5-6 pm your time on Tuesday
osea: Ok 6 hours on Tuesday. Well, if you have a time that works I'll meet you.
jaceee: 11-12 pm my time
osea: I think tha works for me. 5 -6 pm on tuesday then.
jaceee: It will be a good test of the net in Germany -- Germany and Austria have shit networks
jaceee: OKAY, cool, of course, any probs, and you can email me... I will be online on Tuesday morning
osea: so will you have email access-- just incase something changes...
jaceee: and all week, weekend, too, so can easily be in touch
osea: we're typing the same concerns simultaneously -- we're linked, my man!
jaceee: yep
osea: OK cya in cyberspace. Have a great trip.
jaceee: okay, greetings to your family from Lapland
osea: peace-out
jaceee: and talk to you then and as they say here Hyvaa Matkaa
jaceee: kiitos!
jaceee: bye
osea: gotta learn that finnish code...
osea: cya!
