l'image is an elemental series generated from an immersive hitch-hiking journey through central France (the Haute Loire, Normandy, Paris, Lyon, and the Sâone Valley) in the early spring of 1986.

the series was edited and assembled from 4 rolls of 35mm Tri-x negatives, and a portfolio edition of six were printed on Agfa Portriga paper (grades 1 and 2) which were subsequently sepia-toned and mounted on archival 2-ply board. the mounted prints are presented in a hand-lettered and folded Arches folio case.
