arising from the need to have an
artifact to lug around, in August 2003 neoscenes made the first generation
cut of a 2-hour DVD. the visual and sonic content came directly from three
sources: the massive personal neoscenes audio and video archive, the frequent
streaming live-remix performances that neoscenes is doing, and, finally,
the distinct possibilities that are now available for the real-time manipulation
of both sound and image. the DVD was included as a large plasma-screen
installation at the 2003 faculty show at the University of Colorado Art
Museum, and in the 2004 Champ Libre Video Festival in Montreal, Canada.
2h00m00s, loop, stereo audio, 2003-4, ongoing.
