dances of recognition
screen grab
This video explores the transient flickering of transmitted energy that arises between visceral vision and psychic apprehension of the Self by the Other.

Working from raw material shot on VHS, the material was processed into slow-motion segments and bumped to U-matic. The audio tracks were dubbed from an original vinyl pirate recording of sonic experiments by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, "Life with the Lions."

06:03, U-matic NTSC, stereo audio, 1989.
Country of production: USA
